Contributing

Tusab's code is source-available (Elastic License 2.0) — anyone can read, audit, run, and modify it for their own use. This is deliberate: it's proof that the local-first principle ("your data never leaves the machine") is verifiable, not just a marketing promise.

About Pull Requests

External Pull Requests are not accepted at this time. Tusab is maintained by a single person (Augusto Brasil), with the help of AI agents, in a development process designed around that specific format. Accepting external contributions would require triage, security review, and a CI process that don't yet exist. This may change in the future.

How to help anyway

• Bugs and suggestions — open an issue on GitHub; it's read and used to prioritize the roadmap.
• Technical questions about the architecture — CLAUDE.md at the repository root documents the layered architecture, non-obvious technical decisions, and where to find each part of the code.
• Forks — welcome under the terms of the license; just don't use the "Tusab" name or brand (see License).
